Given that you’ve clicked on this page, I’m guessing you want to know a little bit more about me, Kristine (8 Oct. 1985- ).
I was born in California to U.S. Marine and his wife, before we lived in Vista for almost two years, though I obviously don’t remember that. Then we lived in Aurora, Colorado, for two years; Woodstock, Georgia, for three years; Rancho Bernardo/Escondido, California, for another four years; and finally we moved to Ohio in 1996 when my dad got out of the military. Here we’ve stayed ever since, allowing me to acquire my love of cemeteries.
I graduated May 3, 2008, with a BA in English and a concentration in creative writing after 4 years at California Baptist University. Sadly I didn’t really explore many cemeteries during my time out there, though it was partially because California doesn’t have cemeteries as interesting as the upper Midwest – about the only thing it lacks. After almost two years working at my hometown newspaper (where I did manage to write an article about a cemetery), I’m now a graduate student of library science at Indiana University Bloomington.
Other things I like beside cemeteries? Gosh. I already said books (“Paradise Lost” by John Milton is something you have to read before you end up in a cemetery). I love coffee too (thanks, college). I also enjoy playing Sims 2 and 3. Oh, and of course, I live, breathe, eat, and sleep Lost, the most awesome television show ever. I’m also a huge fan of Jeopardy and have tried out for the show three times (only once in person before they went to online testing), and I will make it some day. I love Sony Vaio laptops, and mine is named Abdiel.
Even though I love graveyards and tombstones, I’m really pretty normal and not creepy. As if you couldn’t tell from the school, I’m a Christian (of the Southern Baptist persuasion) and know there’s nothing to fear in cemeteries (even if some of them are creepy as all get out). Someday you can ask about my opinion on ghosts. Other than that, I’m pretty indifferent about my own body after death, but suppose I’d like to be buried in the Amanda Township Cemetery in Ohio just because so many of my relatives are there.
If you have any other questions, feel free to contact me. I’m also accepting Facebook friends!
